Our Story

Two years ago, Lupita’s Cocina started as a Thursday Special at Wilkes Deli in Oakland, NJ, and it has since become the highlight of the week for many customers. My mother, Cruz, has always dreamed of starting her own business where people could visit and enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. Her love of cooking is apparent through every dish she prepares, and sharing her food with everyone means a great deal. Additionally, she has always wanted to name her daughter Lupita in honor of the Virgen de Guadalupe. With much anticipation, my mother and I, Deisy, have finally turned this dream into a reality. And so, Lupita’s Cocina was born!
